Meet Our New Teacher, Martin Maillot

We are pleased to introduce you to the newest member of the AFSTL teaching staff: Martin Maillot!

Martin Maillot, PhD

A native French speaker, Martin hails from the Anjou region of France. During his youth, he also spent several years at his paternal home in La Réunion.

After graduating with a Master’s degree in Translation from the University of Angers (2011), Martin moved to the U.S., where he started teaching French in 2013. He earned his Doctorate in French Linguistics from Indiana University in 2022.

Martin joins the Alliance with nearly a decade of French teaching experience coupled with a vast knowledge of related topics including Business French, French History, and French Geopolitics and Geostrategy. We look forward to the insightful classes that he will offer at the Alliance Française de St. Louis!
