New 4-Week Class, Geopolitique Franco-Américaine, Starts April 24

In a time marked by global uncertainty, shifting alliances, and renewed international tensions, a firm understanding of geopolitics is more important than ever. The Alliance Française de St. Louis is proud to offer a one-time-only advanced French course (B2+), beginning April 24, that will dive deep into the evolving relationship between France, the United States, and the rest of the world.

Titled Géopolitique Franco-Américaine, this four-week seminar will be taught in French by Gaspard Leblond, a French exchange student at UMSL and business school student with professional experience at SAFRAN, a major player in the European aerospace and defense industry. Gaspard brings a unique combination of academic rigor and real-world insight to this timely and dynamic topic.

Over the course of four sessions on Thursdays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, you will explore key themes including French domestic politics, the European Union’s defense posture, major international alliances and organizations, and the shifting geopolitical landscape under the new U.S. administration.

This course is designed for advanced French learners (B2 and up) and will provide a space for engaged, high-level discussion.

When: Thursdays 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Duration: Four Weeks (April 24, May 1, 8, 15)
Cost: $140 ($17.50 per hour of instruction)
