New French Geography & History Classes Start April 30!
We are thrilled to announce the return of one of our teachers, Martin Maillot, to the Alliance Française! Martin is back to offer his two highly popular French classes: Feuilleton de l’histoire de France (French History) and La France de Votre Fauteuil (French Geography), both for B1 levels and up.
Each class will begin on Tuesday, April 30 and will run for eight weeks. If you have an interest in French geography and history, we highly recommend you take one (or both) of these classes! Don't miss this chance to deepen your connection with France. Space is limited - enroll today!
Course Descriptions
La France de Votre Fauteuil (B1+) - Tuesdays at 9:30am
Travel to France without ever leaving St. Louis in La France de Votre Fauteuil. During this eight-week class, tailored for B1+ level students, we will journey through the rich landscapes and cultural heritage of France, learning the specialties of each region and the role they play in the vast jigsaw puzzle we call France.
When: Tuesdays 9:30am - 11:30am starting April 30
Duration: 8 Weeks
Where: In-Person at the Alliance Française or on Zoom
Cost: $280 ($35/week)
If you are not yet a member of the Alliance Française de St. Louis, an annual membership is required to enroll (see below).
Feuilleton de l’histoire de France (B1+) - Tuesdays at 12:00pm
Embark on an exciting eight-week journey through time in Feuilleton de l'histoire de France. In this class, we will take a deep dive into both the well-known and lesser-known pages of France’s history including the foundations of France, the French Revolution, and the Napoleonic era. Historical events will be studied through contextualization, document analysis, and discussion.
When: Tuesdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm starting April 30
Duration: 8 Weeks
Where: In-Person at the Alliance Française or on Zoom
Cost: $280 ($35/week)
